Putnam County Library was relocating and establishing a new presence within the county. They had a variety of existing cantilever shelving units located in a nearby warehouse and needed to establish whether any or all of this could be utilized. A detailed survey was taken and some of the existing was incorporated into a new design and layout within the new building.
Areas such as Young Adult, Children and Periodicals needed to be not only easily accessible but also accommodate the large number of volumes within this new building. RDT Concepts was able to allow for all the requirements and develop a functional and aesthetically pleasing system. By incorporating a compact shelving system and a large range of sections, all of the Library’s objectives were accomplished.
Subsequently, RDT has installed additional smaller systems in some Putnam County satellite operations.
